Got my stitches out today
Dad was loading up the car, so I knew we were had to be going somewhere. I was just so excited to get out of the friggin house, I didn’t care where we were headed. Well, 147 miles later we pulled in to THAT place I spent 5 long
days at and lost my front leg. To dad’s surprise, I was happy to be here. I sniffed all over before I finally let dad take me in. I proudly sauntered in and was the center of attention from both 2 legged and 4 legged animals ๐
I wasn’t there more than 2 minutes and Mom showed up, day keeps getting better and better. Happy Mothers Day Mom! Only had to wait a few minutes and we got called back. They wanted me on the scale, you really had to be there, but suffice it to say it was hilarious. I side stepped that sucker with my back leg 4 or 5 times before they finally got my weight. I’m a pudgy girl, and don’t like being weighed in public. On the bright side, I have lost some weight ๐
Once we got in the room, 2 nice looking guys walked in. Uh oh, I remember this guy. He tells me how pretty I look and how well I have healed up. Cool, I don’t have another leg to give up, lol. Next thing I know, dad’s petting me and this guy is popping all those staples out of me. It took less than 5 minutes, and I was done. Best vet trip ever!
Stopped by Oma and Opa’s (Grandparents) house on the way home for more loving. Opa was telling me about a squirrelย he feeds every morning and evening that has a missing back leg. Tripawds rule! It was great to visit them. Extra lovin everywhere, how special am I? Lol
Doc says I have to take it easy for one more week, then I get to be a dog again. Feelin’ good, looking even better. Thanks again for all your support!
Xoxo,Skittles
