Feelin’ blah today…
Not sure why, just feeling a little bit off today. Maybe because it is my first day without any pain pills? I finished all my antibiotics as well yesterday, so my system is readjusting. IĀ took 2 poops this morning so that could be it as well. Dad seems a little concerned and isn’t sure what to do. I am shaking and breathing heavily when I sleep, but am not showing any real signs of pain. Any suggestions from the Pawds?
I am eating really good š drinking plenty of water and even going outside all by myself. Think I will take another nap now, thanks again for all your support and love!

Could be just adjusting to life without drugs and maybe some residual pain. I am sure your dad will contact the vet ASAP if your blahness continues š It is not uncommon to have some ups and downs in early recovery. Take it easy and rest up Skittles! That’s pretty much your full time job right now š BTW, your incision looks fanTAStic!!

Maybe its residual effects from your big day yesterday. And, I hate to say it, but maybe those extra special treats from your mom? Hopefully some R & R will do the trick!

She seems a lot better now, we just hung out in the sunshine together for the last hour. She is back to her smiling way again, I just don’t want her to be in any dis cumfort. I am the overprotective worry wart and just want the best for my sweet baby girl. She has handled this 10,000 times better than me for sure.

Okay, my unprofessional, non vet opinion. Most dogs, not all, stay on pain pills 10- 14 days (tapering off towards the end) and this sure sounds like signs of pain to me.
Talk with your vet, but maybe keeping her on a consistent schedule of pain meds for another few days may be in order…or not. It certainly couldn’t do any harm.
